COSMIC MESSAGE
The Pleiades, also known as M45, is one of the brightest star clusters in the northern hemisphere. It consists of many hot, bright stars that formed at the same time from a large cloud of interstellar dust and gas. The blue haze around the stars is caused by fine dust reflecting their blue light. Mount Wilson Observatory captured this view of the cluster.
