At the heart of the active galaxy 3C 75, two supermassive black holes are locked in orbit. This composite image combines X-ray data in blue and radio data in pink. Surrounded by hot X-ray gas, these black holes are separated by 25,000 light-years and power giant jets of relativistic particles.
