Supernova remnant Simeis 147, also called the Spaghetti Nebula, is a complex web of looping filaments. This gas structure, found toward the constellations of Taurus and Auriga, spans nearly three degrees in the sky. It is about 150 light-years across and roughly 3,000 light-years distant. The intricate patterns are the remains of a massive star's explosion.
