Every letter on the card above is a real place on Earth. The geography itself, rivers, dunes, glaciers, oil-pipeline scars, happens to form the shape of the letter when seen from a satellite. NASA's curators spent months combing the Landsat and Sentinel-2 archives to find them. You can verify each one yourself.
This card uses NASA's "Your Name in Landsat" image set, a curated archive of 72 satellite scenes where Earth's geography forms each letter of the alphabet. The images are public domain via USGS / NASA Landsat and ESA's Copernicus Sentinel-2 programme, captured between roughly 2013 and 2024.
Skyborn arranges them into your name and prints the result as a numbered, holo-foiled card. The same image set Adam Voiland used for the 2017 children's book "ABCs from Space". Each pull reshuffles the variant chosen per letter, so your card is one of many possible arrangements.
