This wide-angle exposure captures the M81 Group of galaxies and faint nebulae. M81, a spiral galaxy, is the largest in the image and is gravitationally interacting with M82, which appears below it. M82 has a distinctive halo of red, filamentary gas. Many other galaxies from the M81 Group are also visible.
