A solar eclipse has been seen from the Moon. In 1967, the robotic Surveyor 3 mission took thousands of images of Earth, some of which captured Earth moving in front of the Sun. These grainy images show Earth's atmosphere refracting sunlight, creating a beading effect around the planet.
