Star trails arc through the night sky above Iran's Alborz Mountains. This image, a composite of many short exposures, shows stars tracing concentric arcs around the South Celestial Pole. The colors of the star trails reveal their temperatures: blue trails are from stars hotter than our Sun, while yellow trails are from cooler stars.
