COSMIC MESSAGE

Ten thousand years ago, a new light appeared in the night sky and faded after a few weeks. This was a supernova, an exploding star. Today, we see its expanding debris cloud as the Veil Nebula. This image centers on NGC 6960, also known as the Witch's Broom Nebula, a western segment of the Veil.
