This is the deepest, sharpest infrared image of the cosmos captured by the James Webb Space Telescope's NIRCam instrument. The image reveals thousands of galaxies, some of which are among the earliest ever observed. The six-spiked stars are within our own Milky Way, a characteristic diffraction pattern from Webb's hexagonal mirror segments.
