COSMIC MESSAGE
The Flaming Star Nebula, IC 405, surrounds the bright star AE Aurigae. Despite its name and fiery appearance, there is no actual fire here. The nebula glows because the intense energy from AE Aurigae excites the surrounding hydrogen gas, causing it to emit light.
