UGC 2885, also known as Rubin's Galaxy, is a giant spiral galaxy about 232 million light-years away in the constellation Perseus. This Hubble Space Telescope image shows foreground stars from our own Milky Way. UGC 2885 spans about 800,000 light-years, making it about eight times larger than our galaxy. It contains roughly a trillion stars, ten times the number in the Milky Way.
