COSMIC MESSAGE

Sunset looks different from Mars than from Earth. These two images show our Sun at sunset, scaled to the same angular width for comparison. From Mars, the Sun appears slightly smaller because Mars is 50 percent further away. The Martian sunset is also noticeably bluer near the Sun, a striking difference from Earth's sunsets.
