COSMIC MESSAGE

These ghostly interstellar clouds, IC 59 and IC 63, are about 600 light-years away in Cassiopeia. They are slowly being eroded by energetic radiation from the hot, luminous star Gamma Cas, which is the brightest bluish star in the frame. The clouds appear swept-back due to this stellar influence.
