Hyakutake, Big Dipper, and Observatory Dome

Comet Hyakutake shines high in the dark Missouri sky on March 26. In the foreground is Elmcrest Observatory, with a faint red light glowing inside its dome. The Big Dipper, part of the constellation Ursa Major, is visible in the background, with Hyakutake's tail flowing through it. The stars appear as streaks due to slight movement during the long exposure.
