MENSAJE CÓSMICO

Supernova remnant IC 443 is the aftermath of a star that exploded thousands of years ago, blasting its outer layers into space. This false-color X-ray image shows the shocked, expanding shells of gas. Such explosions churn and redistribute matter, helping to drive the ecology of our galaxy by merging stellar material with interstellar gas and dust.
