Other Worlds and HD 38529

Fifty worlds are now known to orbit distant suns. While these discoveries continue, none clearly point to another planetary system like our own. HD 38529, a sun-like star 137 light-years away in Orion, is one such example. Its planet was discovered by detecting the star's gravitational wobble, a common method for finding exoplanets. This star shines at 6th magnitude in our night sky.
