Happy Birthday Jules Verne

Jules Verne was born on February 8th, 173 years before this image was featured. Inspired by machines, Verne wrote visionary works like "From the Earth to the Moon." In his story, characters journeyed to the Moon in a "projectile-vehicle" fired from Florida. This illustration depicts their landing, a vision of space travel over a century before it became reality.
