Water Found Around Nearby Star CW Leonis

NASA APOD
MENSAJE CÓSMICO

The Submillimeter Wave Astronomy Satellite, SWAS, has found evidence of water around the nearby star CW Leonis. This discovery suggests that comets, rich in water ice, may orbit the star. The star's activity could be vaporizing these comets, releasing water into space and hinting at the potential for water-bearing worlds beyond our solar system.
