Warped Spiral Galaxy ESO 510-13
Spiral galaxy ESO 510-13 is bent out of shape, a common feature in many spirals, including our own Milky Way. While galaxy disks are typically thin and flat, they are not solid, but rather collections of billions of stars and gas orbiting a center. The causes of these warps are still being investigated.
