Earth Webcam Catches Mars Rotation

Tonight and over the next few days, Mars will be at its closest approach to Earth in nearly 60,000 years. This 20-frame movie of Mars rotating was created from 1000 frames captured by a backyard webcam. Do not expect to see this much detail or rotation through a small telescope, but it will still be a great view.
