New Horizons Spacecraft Passes Jupiter

The New Horizons spacecraft, launched in 2006, made a close approach to Jupiter in 2007. This gravity assist boosted its speed toward Pluto, its next target. During the flyby, New Horizons captured images of Jupiter's moons, its complex atmosphere, and features like the Little Red Spot. The spacecraft continued its journey, reaching Pluto in 2015.
