The Milky Way at 5000 Meters

NASA APOD · Serge Brunier
MENSAJE CÓSMICO

At 5,000 meters above sea level in the Chilean Andes, the night sky offers a clear view of our Milky Way galaxy. This fish-eye image captures the sprawling dust clouds and countless stars. The galactic center is in the direction of the zenith, but it's hidden by intervening dust.
