Juno Rockets Toward Jupiter

In 2011, the Juno spacecraft launched on an Atlas V rocket, beginning its journey to Jupiter. Juno's trajectory included a flyby of Earth two years later, using our planet's gravity to slingshot it toward the gas giant. The mission is designed to study Jupiter's atmosphere, magnetosphere, and gravity field.
