IC 2118: The Witch Head Nebula
The Witch Head Nebula, also known as IC 2118, is a reflection nebula that glows from the light of the bright star Rigel, just out of frame. Fine dust in the nebula reflects Rigel's blue light, giving the nebula its distinctive color and shape. It sits near Orion, about 800 light-years away.
