Superstorm Sandy From Formation to Landfall

Superstorm Sandy was the largest hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean. The Earth-orbiting GOES-13 satellite captured a movie of the storm over eight days in late October. The footage shows the hurricane forming, gaining strength, advancing across the Caribbean, and making landfall in New Jersey.
