A Blue Bridge of Stars between Cluster Galaxies

NASA APOD
MENSAJE CÓSMICO

The galaxy cluster SDSS J1531+3414 contains many large elliptical galaxies, but its center also features a striking blue bridge of stars. This bridge is a region of active star formation, likely triggered by a collision or interaction between two galaxies within the cluster. The Hubble Space Telescope captured this unusual structure, revealing details of the cluster's dynamic environment.
