Five Planets and the Moon over Australia

Planets appear to line up because they orbit the Sun in roughly the same plane, called the ecliptic. This image from Australia captures a coincidence where six planets and Earth's Moon appeared close together in the sky. When viewed from Earth, planets are always confined to a single band across the sky.
