Philae Lander Found on Comet 67P
NASA APOD · ESA, Rosetta, MPS, OSIRIS; UPD/LAM/IAA/SSO/INTA/UPM/DASP/IDA/Navcam
MENSAJE CÓSMICO
The Philae lander, presumed lost, has been found. In 2014, the lander descended from its parent Rosetta spacecraft to Comet C67/P Churyumov-Gerasimenko. After a harpoon malfunction, it bounced twice and sent images from an unknown location. Rosetta swooped low enough to spot the meter-sized Philae on the comet's surface.
