Moon and Planets at Twilight
Venus and Jupiter have been close in the sky this week, and tonight the Moon joins them. This image from October 29 shows a young crescent moon and Venus setting over mountains. The scene is similar to what skygazers see tonight: the Moon and two bright planets above the western horizon at twilight.
