Earth Flyby of BepiColombo

The robotic BepiColombo spacecraft captured this view of Earth in 2020, during a flyby on its way to Mercury. Our home planet appears as a bright, rotating sphere, emerging from behind the spacecraft's high-gain antenna. The image is a nearly 10-hour time-lapse, showing Earth's rotation in detail. The planet is so luminous that no background stars are visible.
