Odysseus on the Moon

This wide-angle snapshot from the Odysseus lander shows its legs absorbing first contact with the lunar surface. After landing on February 22, some landing legs broke, leaving the lander tilted. This lean, however, allowed the phone booth-sized lander to operate, collect solar power, and send data back to Earth.
