Diamonds in the Sky

NASA APOD · Wright Dobbs
MENSAJE CÓSMICO

The Moon's shadow swept across North America on April 8, bringing a total solar eclipse. Just before and after totality, a sliver of the Sun's disk peeked around the Moon's edge. This created a "diamond ring" effect, a fleeting sparkle in the darkened sky. This image captures that moment, a brief celestial jewel visible to sky watchers.
