COSMIC MESSAGE

The Wild Duck Open Cluster, M11, contains thousands of stars, all formed together about 150 million years ago. Located over three thousand light-years away, its many bright stars appear blue. Open clusters, also known as galactic clusters, are generally confined to our galaxy's plane and contain fewer, younger stars than globular clusters.
