This is the Apollo 15 lunar module, "Falcon," where astronauts David Scott and James Irwin lived on the Moon in 1971. Astronaut Alfred Worden orbited overhead in the command module. The harsh sunlight on the gray lunar surface gives the image an eerie quality. The Lunar Apennine Mountains frame the background, with Mount Hadley Delta visible on the right.
