Orion never had a sword like this. Comet C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS) is putting on a show for long-exposure cameras as it leaves the inner Solar System. The distant Orion Nebula is visible on the upper right. The comet displays two distinct tails: a short dust tail and a long, wavy ion tail.
