COSMIC MESSAGE

This faint dot is Earth, the largest known rock. It is larger than any known asteroid, moon, or comet nucleus. Voyager 1 took this picture in 1990 from the outer Solar System. Earth's gravity is strong enough to make it nearly spherical and hold heavy gases close to its surface.
