COSMIC MESSAGE

Astronomer Gordon Garradd photographed the entire night sky above Loomberah, Australia, in March 1996 using a homemade all-sky camera. The luminous band of the Milky Way dominates this circular view. Dark interstellar dust clouds cut across it, and the Large Magellanic Cloud is visible at the upper right.
