COSMIC MESSAGE
Lightning is a powerful electrical discharge in clouds during rainstorms. Although the exact cause of charge separation in clouds is still being researched, lightning bolts are common. On average, 6,000 lightning bolts occur between clouds and the Earth every minute. These lightning strokes were photographed behind Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona.
