This sequence of images, captured by a RocketCam on the Space Shuttle Atlantis's external tank, shows a unique perspective of liftoff. The camera provided valuable engineering data by observing the shuttle's ascent from above. The final frame, taken about 15 minutes after launch, shows the Earth receding as the shuttle enters space.
