Leonids Over Uluru

NASA APOD · Vic & Jen Winter (ICSTARS Astronomy)
COSMIC MESSAGE

The 2001 Leonid meteor shower over Uluru, Australia, was a memorable event. This year's shower is uncertain, but it might be the last chance to see a meteor storm. Even with a nearly full Moon, bright meteors may still be visible. The Leonid shower occurs annually as Earth passes through the debris left by Comet Tempel-Tuttle.
