A Boeing Delta 2-Heavy rocket streaks skyward, carrying NASA's Space InfraRed Telescope Facility, or SIRTF. This time exposure captures the launch from Cape Canaveral. SIRTF, the fourth and final satellite in NASA's Great Observatories Program, will explore the distant universe in infrared light.
