Apollo 12 Commander Pete Conrad examines the robotic Surveyor 3 lander, which arrived on the Moon three years earlier. Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean took this photograph, with their own lunar module visible in the distance. This was the second mission to land humans on the Moon, and it brought back many photographs and moon rocks.
