COSMIC MESSAGE

This massive ball of stars, known as M3, is older than our Sun and Earth. It is one of about 200 globular clusters that orbit the Milky Way today. M3 contains roughly half a million stars, most of them old and red. Light from M3 takes about 100,000 years to reach us.
