Orionid Meteors Over Turkey
NASA APOD · Tunc Tezel
COSMIC MESSAGE
Every October, Earth passes through the dust trail of Comet Halley. This produces the Orionid meteor shower, named for its radiant point in the constellation Orion. This image captures several meteors streaking across the sky over Turkey, all appearing to originate from that same point.
