In the Shadow of Saturn

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Cassini spacecraft captured this image from within Saturn's shadow, looking back toward the Sun. Saturn's night side is partly lit by light reflected from its rings. The rings themselves appear dark against Saturn, but bright when scattering sunlight away from the planet, revealing their intricate structure.
