Solar Eclipse from the Moon
NASA APOD · Hana Gartstein
COSMIC MESSAGE
On Saturday, March 3, parts of a lunar eclipse were widely visible, with observers in Europe, Africa, and western Asia seeing the entire event. In eastern North America, the Moon rose already in its total eclipse phase. If you were on the Moon's near side, you would see this event as a solar eclipse, with Earth completely blocking the Sun's disk.
