Movie: Cassini Crosses Saturn's Ring Plane

The Cassini spacecraft captured a time-lapse movie as it crossed Saturn's ring plane, moving from the sunlit side to the shadowed side. The images show how the density and reflectivity of the ring particles change. From a vantage point outside most of the moons, but inside Titan's orbit, Cassini provided a unique perspective on the intricate structure of Saturn's rings.
