Geminids in 2007

NASA APOD · Erno Berko
COSMIC MESSAGE

Meteors from the annual Geminid shower fall from the constellation Gemini in this fisheye view. The streaks are meteor trails, captured over several December nights in Hungary. The Geminids are unique because their source is not a comet, but an asteroid, 3200 Phaethon.
