Young Moon and Sister Stars

NASA APOD · Anna Morris
COSMIC MESSAGE

A young crescent Moon shares the western sky with the Pleiades star cluster in this image from San Antonio, Texas. Multiple exposures were combined to show details of the bright lunar surface and the cluster's stars. While the Pleiades are known for their blue reflection nebulae, these are washed out by the bright moonlight in this particular view.
