COSMIC MESSAGE
Along the Moon's terminator, the line between night and day, mountain and crater shadows are stark. This telescopic image shows a 'sunrise ray' phenomenon within Hesiodus crater. Sunlight streams through a gap in the crater's eastern wall, creating a long, bright streak across the crater floor.
